We love a good collab and the one between Topman and enigmatic Fashion Designer and Tailor Charlie Casely-Hayford has just hit new heights with the release of their second collab collection.
Launched on Thursday 1st November, the collection comprises 19 pieces that remain true to the designer’s creative identity which has become an integral part of the London tailoring scene. Since starting the Casely-Hayford label with his father in 2009, Charlie’s uniform of timeless designs has become a firm favourite amongst the world’s leading musicians and actors including Sam Smith, Robert Downey Junior and Michael Fassbender.
A collection designed with occasion dressing in mind, this season Casely-Hayford draws inspiration from the defined cuts of elevated ‘70s rock designs and focuses on investment items made using the finest quality fabrics.
From baroque printed din- ner jackets to the reimagined chore coat; the capsule delivers contemporary yet traditional Indian-summer designs. Single-breasted suits in a rich palette and a selection of textured tailored separates epitomise Charlie’s signature aesthetic.
The smoking jacket, crafted in sumptuous deep navy velvet, features satin edging and a tie waist, offering a modern twist to dressing gown styling. Other over-garments available include the classic single-breasted wool coat with a wide notch lapel. To conclude, a silk shirt constructed in a lavish peacock print sits alongside a variation of cotton shirts in subtle hues.
“For my second Topman collection I wanted to create a capsule that brought a youthful, vibrant element to eveningwear. Intricately designed clashing jacquards and an unstructured smoking jacket form the basis of the collection and look perfectly at home teamed with tracksuit bottoms and a pair of Reebok Classics.”
The collection is available in selected Topman stores globally and online at
