The Australian roll-out of much-loved European off-price retailer TK Maxx is in full swing with six stores that opened in Melbourne yesterday. Brisbane will follow closely with eight stores opening this Saturday 22nd April, and seven stores set to be unveiled in Sydney on Thursday 27th April. In total, 35 stores will open in Australia by May which is good news for savvy Australian shoppers. The launch of the ‘Treasure Hunt’ shopping experience is finally here.

Key looks at the Launch Fashion Show included a fun and eclectic collection featuring pink in all hues, colour blocking, dark romantics, grunge, denim and a Sydney favorite – Altheisure.

TK Maxx Australia spokesperson Tessa Buenen said: “We’re so excited to bring Australian shoppers a huge assortment of big names, top brands, up-and-coming labels, high quality fashion and one-off gems at a great discount to the prices in a department store or on the high street.”

One of main points of difference in the TK Maxx retail offering is the way they buy merchandise – throughout the year, rather than seasonally. When a designer overproduces or other stores overbuy, TK Maxx swoop in, negotiate the lowest possible price, and pass the savings on to consumers.

“The question everyone wants to know is exactly what brands they’ll see in-store, and my answer is simple – go in-store and have your own TK Maxx treasure hunt and you’ll be amazed with what you’ll find,” Ms Buenen said.
